Missing bushwalkers found

The two men reported missing in bushland near Bellingen have been located safe and well.

About 7am Saturday 23 April, two men, aged 25 and 41, left Ebor on a bushwalk to their final destination in Thora, in the Bellinger River National Park.

Police launched a search for the men on Wednesday when they failed to reach Thora by Monday night as planned.

Just before midday ground crews consisting of police, S.E.S and volunteers located the men at Woods Camp.

The pair underestimated the time it would take to complete the trip and remained uninjured.

They will now accompany search crews for a short walk to safety.
