Motorcylist injured in off-road crash north of Jackadgery
A MAN in his sixties is recovering in Lismore Base Hospital after a motorcycle crash north west of Jackadgery this morning.
The Westpac Rescue Life Saver Helicopter was tasked to the area, which was "well off the beaten track" about 9.50am, after the man crashed his bike while riding off road.
He suffered injuries to his lower legs, believed to include a fracture.
Westpac Rescue Life Saver Helicopter's acting crew chief Michael Kerry said the man's two companions had to ride about 20km before they could get reception to alert authorities.
Luckily, the helicopter was able to land adjacent to where the incident happened, and the patient was transported to Lismore Base Hospital for treatment.
