Woman fights for life after smash

A WOMAN is fighting for her life after a horror car crash which also injured young children west of Geelong.

The two-car collision on a 100km/h stretch of the Princes Highway at Mt Moriac shortly before 11am has closed the western-bound lanes of the highway.

Paramedics and the air ambulance are at the scene of the crash at the corner of the busy highway and Cape Otway Rd.

It continues a horror run of serious accidents in the area.

On November 24 a man and a woman were seriously injured when their car hit a steel safety railing and rolled on the Princes Highway near Buckley.

And in October a teenager was killed when he was allegedly hit by a 4WD on Atkins Rd in Buckley.
