GRAFTON'S McClymont sisters' supreme musical talents were realised yesterday on the world stage when they received the American Country Music Award for Global Artist of the Year.

This is the second time a Clarence Valley artist has claimed the gong at the home of American country music, Nashville, with Troy Cassar-Daley taking the award in 2008.

The girls took to Facebook to announce the news to the world, saying they had a "huge night".

They said they were very honoured to receive the first award of the CMA week.
