Netball resumes on Grafton courts

SATURDAY competition commences this weekend but there are still teams with player vacancies.

If you have not yet signed up with a club or team, please come to control on Saturday and you will be put in contact with a club delegate who has a vacancy.

The draw will be available on the website prior to the weekend.

As the days are still very warm, ensure you apply sunscreen and drink plenty of water before and during your match.

There is still one more week to go before the NET, SET, GO and 8/9s competitions begin on Saturday, March 12, at 11.30am.

All those five- to seven-year-old girls taking part in the NET, SET, GO program with coaching co-ordinator Bonnie Bruce should wear joggers, comfortable shorts and t-shirt (or school sports uniform) and make sure you have a water bottle.

Bonnie can give you more information about the program or answer any questions you have next week.

Coaching update

A COACHING Foundation course is again being offered at GNA this year.

The course will be held on Saturday, April 2, from 8am to 1pm.

All Saturday netball coaches who have not completed this accreditation or have an expired certificate must attend these sessions to become accredited.

There is a small cost to each participant, but you will get a coaching handbook to take away with you that includes drills and games to use in training sessions.

There is an online module component that needs to be completed prior to attending the course but more information is available at control. Please put your name down if you are interested at control from March 5.
