Netballers invited to Netball NSW workshop

THE GRAFTON Netball Committee would like to invite you to a Community Strategic Planning Workshop to be held on Monday, August 15, from 7pm to 9pm after the GNA monthly meeting at 6.30pm.

This workshop, facilitated by Netball NSW, is a follow-on from our member survey, and will help us compile a comprehensive three-year strategic plan, enhancing the netball products and services offered in the Grafton community. We hope to have a broad cross-section of our netball community providing input at this workshop, so please come along because everyone is welcome.

NETBALL CLINIC

This clinic is a seven-week intensive program covering all aspects of netball:

  • Shooting
  • Defence
  • Centre court

It will be open for all interested players turning 12, 13 and 14 in the year 2017 and will be held every Thursday 4pm-5.30pm, from October 13 to November 24. We encourage everyone who is looking to improve their netball skills on both a representative and competitive level to take part in this program. The qualified coaches who will be running this clinic include Brooke Burton, Kim Blinman, Donna Jackson, Tammy Thompson, Alex Moar, Cyndi Allen, Katie Gordon, Rhee Searle and Denise Everingham, as well as Kira Grant who will be working to improve her coaching credentials.

Come visit us at the control building if you are interested. For more information please feel free to contact Brooke Burton 0437 426 070 or Kim Blinman 0427 646 933.

NSW Swifts players Susan Pettitt and Amy Sommerville held a clinic on Sunday with 30 excited kids aged 7 to 12. The three hours were packed full of new drills and skills that all the kids said were absolutely wonderful and we hope they will share what they've learned with their other team members. After the session both ladies took time to sign autographs and take copious pictures. Grafton netball wishes to thank Susan and Amy for taking the time to let these kids from the country meet their idols.
