Netballers return to courts after month-long hiatus

Welcome back to netball after our four week hiatus. We hope you are fully rested and ready to get back into the season. NetSetGo! will also return this coming Saturday at the usual time of 12.30pm.

All clubs need to be aware of their canteen commitments for the season. For the junior grade time slots,11.30am and 12.30pm, we have attempted to place the team playing on court three on duty to allow parents to complete their commitments during their child's game. For the senior time slots, your commitment will either be before or after your game to allow for all teams in your club to meet their own commitments and relieve pressure on the club delegates. Thank you for supporting our association and enabling us to continue to deliver this service to our netball community.

Our rep teams will be spending this Sunday at the Casino carnival. Travel to this carnival will be via private transport, so please ensure that you check with your managers what time you are expected to arrive at the venue. If you have any other concerns, don't hesitate to ask your team manager. Have a good weekend girls.

There will be a coaching Q&A run by Kim Blinman at our courts on April 30, commencing at 10.30am. We encourage all beginner coaches and seasoned coaches alike to attend this event in order to expand their knowledge and pick up on some new tips and tricks.

Alex Moar will be hosting two umpiring clinics for beginner and veteran umpires alike to go over the new rules that have been introduced to the game this year. The clinics will take place at our netball courts on May 7, one commencing at 10.30am and another commencing at 1.30pm. The umpire rule books have finally arrived and are available at the control building on Saturdays at a price of $15.

Lismore Netball Association is hosting our Regional NetEd program on July 23-24, 2016. Registrations are now open on the Netball NSW website. The two day program focuses on umpiring and coaching both practical and theory education. All workshop participants must be registered members of their local State/Territory Netball Association to register. Participants must register and pay via the Netball NSW online store, and registrations will close on the Monday prior to the course date. Coaches need to ensure that they bring their accreditation updating book as attendance provides points towards maintaining accreditation. For anyone interested please contact Kim Blinman (0427 646 933) for coaching or Alex Moar (0417 431 343) for umpiring.
