New-look Coles at Yamba

A NEW market-style atmosphere will greet shoppers at the refurbished Coles Yamba store on Thursday from 7am.

The new-look store will feature a range of innovative services, including an open bakery, where shoppers can see the in-store baker baking fresh bread daily, and an in-store butcher slicing meat on request.

Also on display will be an extended fresh produce section with fruit and vegetables kept on ice for maximum freshness.

A gourmet cheese section will feature a variety of local and international cheeses, while the Coles Curry Pot will offer a delicious range of ready-made curries and accompaniments for meals on the go.

An entertainment and paper shop will also offer the latest in books, magazines and new release DVDs.

An additional 20 jobs have been created to service these great new offerings, including an all-new bakery team.

Coles Yamba store manager, Andrew Sneesby, said the newly renovated store will feature a great range of products at affordable prices.

“Coles Yamba will continue to source and stock an excellent range of products, providing our customers with great value for money,” Mr Sneesby said.

“The store makeover will give Coles Yamba a fresh, modern feel, creating a great environment for the Coles team members to work in, and a new shopping experience for Yamba residents.”

Coles Yamba baker Chris Hadaway can't wait for people to try out the fresh breads and pastries on offer.

“There's a great team of bakers now at Coles Yamba, baking from scratch every day to provide the freshest bread, cakes and pastries for Yamba residents,” he said.

Opening day celebrations include a face painter, giveaways, cooking demonstrations, sampling, and Kids in the Kitchen activities at 4pm on Thursday and Friday, and noon on Saturday.

The first 100 customers to spend $50 or more in one transaction at Coles Yamba on opening day will receive a free Coles sample bag.

The store, on the corner of Treelands Drive and Yamba Road, will be open 7am-9pm Monday to Friday, 7am-6pm on Saturday, and 8am-6pm on Sunday.
