New look Magpies set to shine

THE new look Lower Clarence Magpies will tackle the Casino Cougars at the Maclean Showground this Saturday, March 13.

The two sides will meet in all three grades with the under-18s to kick off at 3.30pm followed by reserves and much-anticipated First Grade clash at 6pm.

With only three players from the run-on grand final 13 has allowed the 2010 coach Ricky Binge the chance to mould his style of play into the new look squad.

Binge has been delighted with the attitude and commitment displayed at training and - like the players – can’t wait to get back on the paddock.

The match with Casino will be the start of the long road back to premiership glory.

“This Saturday will be a great day back on the showground for the first time since that memorable day back in September last season,” he said.

“The Cougars will be a force with a new committee, coaches and players - it will be a tough encounter for all three grades.”

Full canteen and bar facilities will be available.
