A NEW trailer for Angelina Jolie's Louis Zamperini biopic Unbroken was released this morning.
The two-and-a-half-minute clip features the first look at some of the film's action scenes set during the Second World War, when Zamperini was shot down over the Pacific and after 47 days at sea was captured by the Japanese.
Zamperini passed away last week, aged 97, after suffering from pneumonia.
Before his war service he was also an Olympian, running in the 1936 Olympic Games in Berlin.
The film's first trailer, released in February, featured only archival war footage, snippets from an interview with Zamperini and narration by newsreader Tom Brokaw.
Unbroken was filmed in Moreton Bay and Sydney last year and will open in cinemas on January 8, 2015.
