From the newsroom AM 18/09/2012

WE'VE got some really good human interest stories on the go.

From an 80-year-old planning to do his first sky dive, to the plight of a local lady who runs a greyhound rescue operation to a disabled Olympian coming to Yamba to show off his silverware, we're working on some really fascinating yarns about some of the Valley's finest.

We'll be following up on the Pacific Hwy funding issue and our newdesk correspondent in Canberra, Adam Carroll is working on arranging for head-to-head opinion pieces from Anthony Albanese and Warren Truss.

Tonight there's a meeting on the Grafton Bridge plans and we'll have a reporter there covering that.
