From the newsroom AM 25/10/2012

WE'VE just had word that the meeting on Grafton's second river crossing recommended "in town" options and we'll be posting a story here very shortly with a poll on which option you prefer.

We've also just heard about plans for development of Grafton Shoppingworld and will update you on those as soon as we get the details.

Of course we're going Jacaranda daft and chasing up stories on some of the upcoming events.

Lachlan Thompson is working on a story on rising electricity costs and if you have something to add to his yarn, drop him an email on lachlan.thompson@dailyexaminer.com.au.

I've heard there is a bit of a doctor shortage at the Grafton Superclinic and anyone with comments can email me at jenna.cairney@dailyexaminer.com.au.

Terry Deefholts is talking to those involved in helping families who lost their homes in fires last week. It's amazing to see the community rally round.

Must dash, lots to do.
