Nikorima keen to stay
MELBOURNE is believed to be a front-runner for his signature, but Broncos utility Kodi Nikorima says he wants to stay in Brisbane.
The 22-year-old (pictured) is off-contract at the end of the year.
"I'm at the Broncos and I'd love to stay here long-term because I've been here since I was 12. This club means a lot to me," he said.
"I'll have a good discussion with my manager and weigh up my options."
Nikorima's younger brother, Jayden, left the Broncos at the end of 2015 but has since struggled at the Roosters, the 19-year-old now playing reserve grade.
For now, Nikorima is only focusing on the Warriors in what will be a gruelling effort for Brisbane's returning Maroons stars in Auckland on Saturday.
The Broncos will try to avoid losing their fourth match in five games.
Nikorima will have to lift his game, with regular starting hooker Andrew McCullough facing up to two months out with a broken thumb.
