Nominate for heritage awards

COMMUNITY stalwarts involved in all facets of heritage in the Clarence Valley can now be recognised for their contributions.

The 2011 NSW Government Heritage Volunteer awards have been launched to recognise the men and women who have volunteered their time and personal commitment to ensuring that the state's unique history and heritage is protected for future generations.

The award categories are aboriginal heritage, archaeological heritage, built heritage, cultural heritage, engineering heritage, landscape and garden heritage, maritime heritage, movable heritage, multicultural heritage and natural heritage.

The nomination form and list of criteria for the 2011 NSW Government Heritage Volunteer Awards program can be downloaded from the website www.heritage.nsw.gov.au.
