NSW Blues return to Coffs Harbour for training
THE NSW Blues have returned to Coffs Harbour in training mode, buoyed by the return of skipper Paul Gallen and Brett Morris and the availability of hooker Robbie Farah.
The Blues hit the training paddock at Novotel Pacific Bay Resort today, the same venue used for preparations throughout the successful 2014 State of Origin series and for Game One last month. The Blues will be determined to save face against Queensland in Melbourne next Wednesday and force the series to a decider in Brisbane.
Farah was cleared to play on Monday night after passing a fitness test on his injured AC joint.
Gallen returned from a serious hip injury to skipper Cronulla to an upset win over the Roosters over the weekend and his inclusion forces Josh Jackson to the bench and Cronulla team-mate Andrew Fifita to drop out of the team. In the backs, Roosters winger Daniel Tupou makes way for Brett Morris back in sky blue.
"I know where this group can go to and I'm excited about the challenge that awaits us," coach Laurie Daley said.
The Blues will make an appearance at Coffs Harbour's A-Mart All Sports at 4.30pm today to sign autographs and meet fans. School visits have been arranged at Woolgoolga Public and Orara High schools on Thursday from 2pm. The team flies out for Melbourne on Sunday.
