Old books find new owners

EVEN before the doors of the Maclean Bowling Club opened yesterday morning, the Maclean Rotary Book Sale was sure to be a hit.

As many as 40-50 people lined up outside waiting to fill their shopping bags with good reads.

By midday the pace had slowed but people from right across the Valley continued to file into the sale, some choosing to relax away from the heat and read their small children some old favourites.

The sale continues today from 9am till noon.

Fill a shopping bag of books, tapes, magazines and videos for $5.
