Maddalene Woodward's on a roll for NSW Country

CLARENCE River junior singles champion, junior pairs champion, Far North Coast representative and a member of the team that finished runner-up in the South Grafton Bowling Club Mixed Fours Championship.

Add to that a New South Wales Country cap and Maddalene Woodward's bowling resume is impressive.

When you consider she only started playing the sport in May 2011, it is truly outstanding.

The 16-year-old will travel to Sydney to contest the NSW Junior City v Country three-Test series this weekend, with spots in next year's state squad up for grabs.

Woodward has been with the North Coast Academy since May 2012, honing her game under the guidance of former Australian representative Shane Globits.

She is hoping that the skills that earned her a place in the Country side can now earn her a place in the state side.
