One-year deal for Rathbone

CLYDE Rathbone has winged it back into the big time.

The former 26-Test Wallabies winger has come out of retirement to sign a one-year deal with the ACT Brumbies next year.

The 31-year-old, who was forced to retire in 2009 after a succession of injuries, is no stranger to playing for the Canberra Super Rugby franchise.

He played 49 Super Rugby games for the Brumbies between 2003 and 2009.

Now he's set to reunite with coach he helped win some global success in 2002 with - South African Jake White.

Rathbone was the captain of White's South African under-21 side which won the 2002 World Cup.
