OPINION: Lack of transparency on NBN issues 'amazing'

I HAVE been amazed at the lack of transparency concerning the NBN. Questions have been kept very quiet over this important innovation that this country will be so dependent upon once we get it.    Today (29/2) it was front page headlines in the SMH of how our previous Minister for Communications, The Honourable Malcolm Turnbull, our now incumbent Prime Minister, had neglected the portfolio and it is now in a very poor state of development. It is a problem that has placed the NBN in a state of question and behind the proposed development.   It appears that the Liberal Party has deliberately hidden all aspects of the development of the NBN to protect the PM and save him from any embarrassment as he sought out the position of PM. It could be said that this person had placed more priority on becoming PM than attending to the NBN.   What has happened is that the development of the NBN in country areas has been severely neglected and access to the country will be deprived to such an extent that it will be many years before certain country areas will receive it.   The TV system is too expensive and is discriminatory method which penalises all country people and costs them. I know of one woman who has five children and can't even get a port connected to her home to give them the NBN so that they can do their school work. The TV system is too expensive and she can't afford it. What a disgrace and what a way to discriminate.   All the LNP intends to do is to look after their voting base, those of city origin.   You must govern for all people PM and don't be selective, just because of their location or as a result of what income they have. Returning you to power will have many severe ramifications.and reflect on your parties worth.
