Page MP promotes area on Sky

FEDERAL member for Page Kevin Hogan used his spot as a panellist on the high-rating Your Money Your Call television program last week to sell the virtues of Page to tourists.

In a wide-ranging discussion, Mr Hogan invited viewers of the Sky News business program to "come on up" to our beautiful part of the world.

"We take in Ballina, which a lot of your viewers would know. We also take in Iluka, Yamba and regional centres like Grafton, Lismore, Casino and Kyogle. It's a wonderful part of the world and if any viewers out there are looking for a summer holiday, come on up," he told Sky viewers on Friday night.

His open invitation comes after the region was snubbed in the recently announced Australian Traveller Magazine's 2013 Readers' Choice Awards.

After the show, Mr Hogan said tourism provided many jobs in the region and he would use any opportunity to promote the sector.
