Palmer United party candidate: "The choice is them or us"

"WE are in a crisis".

Those are the words of the Palmer United Party's candidate for Cowper, Rod Jeanneret.

Mr Jeanneret said we have a crisis of government.

"We have to make a choice but what a choice?" Mr Jeanneret asked.

"Rudd or Abbott, Labor or the Coalition. That is not a choice. Neither will deliver us the prosperity and wellbeing that can and should be, ours.

"The choice is them or us."

The Cowper candidate who has run as an independent at the last three federal elections in the Queensland seat of Broom said "them" is the Liberal/Labor establishment.

He suggested the political status quo could even be described as a "cabal" that does what it wants with us and our money.

"We are the suckers who make it all possible," he said.

"To have a real choice we need a united voice. A strong and resolute representation that can defeat "them" and give us the freedom to make a success of our lives.

"The Palmer United Party is "us" because its members come from us, ordinary Australians who work to support ourselves, are independent and ready to lend a helping hand."

Having run as an independent for so long, Mr Jeanneret said it took Clive Palmer to have him stand at an election as a member of a political party.

"Clive Palmer is a self-made man who started with nothing and has rallied like-minded individuals who want Australia to once again be the 'lucky Country'," he said.

"The Palmer United Party is a real choice that can save us from the crisis of dictatorial, self-serving Government.

"It is time for real change but it is going to take a real effort from real Australians.

"To help yourselves you will need to help us. We need helping hands to fight the good fight."
