PB for Tiffany

TIFFANY Thorley cannot tell you when she first started swimming or what her best time in the 200 metre individual medley was, but the young St Andrew's Christian School student does not have to, with her performances speaking for themselves.

Thorley recently returned from competing in the 200-metre individual medley at the Christian schools state swimming carnival in Blacktown, Sydney, where she continued the trend of breaking her personal best time in the event.

“I did a personal best time at my zone and I knocked 26 seconds off my one at zone,” Thorley said.

“I came last (at state) but I did a personal best time.”

Thorley, 10, said it was the first time she had competed at state level but, with the Year 5 student progressing well at training at the Grafton Aquatic Centre, the experience may become a regular occurrence.

“I'm going to C squad next year,” she said.
