‘What on earth is it meant to be?’

A MAN with a very questionable tattoo has baffling internet users who can't decide whether it is heartwarming or extremely rude.

The design was shared on social media and features a hand grabbing a heart, or as some people claim, a pair of dangling testicles, The Sun reports.

The striking black-and-white ink has been shared thousands of times after it was uploaded by user @gutphobia.

The inking has been credited in further tweets to tattoo artist Ellen Marie Murphy, who runs an Instagram page of her artistic creations.

On her page the tattoo simply has the caption "Love is kind", but many have questioned the tattoo owner's intentions.

And another user theorised: "Grabbing love by the balls that's the message."

One man added: "This is art, perfectly illustrates that the way to a man's heart is thru his ***sack."

Meanwhile one user defended the tattoo, whatever the meaning behind it, and wrote: "It's called art. You wouldn't understand."
