Pete Comiskey wins Stallion Draft final

THE Frasers Livestock Transport Stallion Draft final was an an outstanding exhibition of campdrafting on Saturday with cattle from Acton Land and Cattle Company in Central Queensland.

Pete Comiskey, of Nebo, had the equal lead going into the final and scored 90 in the final to win with a two-round score of 181.

He scored 23 for cut out, equal to the best in the final, 63 for horsework, one behind equal runner up Mac Shann, of Clermont, on One Moore Daddy, and four for the course.

Shann had a two-round combined score of 178 to share second with Kingaroy and former Killarney rider Jon Templeton who won the Chinchilla Grandfather Clock Campdraft a week earlier.

The Clermont rider had a busy Saturday in Warwick as he also had three horses in the Canning Downs Campdraft, for eight and ninth.

The final campdrafting at the Warwick Rodeo will be the Black Toyota Warwick Gold Cup final at noon Sunday.
