Pinafore sails into the Lower Clarence
IT DOMINATED the theatrical world for decades, and now Gilbert and Sullivan's HMS Pinafore is in the Lower Clarence spotlight.
A cast of 20 takes the audience on a journey into the lives of a bumbling admiral, love-struck youngsters and all the drama in between.
The Clarence Coast Theatrical Society has teamed up with the Maclean Music Ensemble to perform what production manager Joy de Roos describes as "fantastic".
"It's a dramatic comedy and I still laugh when I watch it from the booth; and I've seen it right through so many times," Ms de Roos said.
The musical's opening night was last Friday at the Maclean Civic Hall, followed by a Saturday show and a full-house Sunday show at Yamba.
Catch the final shows at Maclean this week Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 7.30pm and Sunday at 2pm at the Maclean Civic Hall.
Tickets are available from The Flower Box, River St, Maclean, or at the door for $15 or $10 for children and concessions.
