South High's plan of attack in School league

THEY'RE the self-proclaimed best open rugby league team in country New South Wales and boast no fewer than four Australian Schoolboys. Recently crowned Country Cup champions, Terrigal High are the envy of schoolboy footy.

Standing in their way is the unsuspecting crew from South Grafton High, a little known outpost on the North Coast of the state.

The Central Coast heavyweights drop into McKittrick Park today for what they hope will be a routine University Shield quarter-final. But the side coached by Matt McKee plans an ambush to defend a ground that has proven a fortress for several teams in 2015.

"I'm expecting Terrigal will probably be by far the best team that these boys have played against as a team," McKee said.

"They have to get out of a 10-hour trip to take us on at South Grafton, which is not a great ground for other teams to come and play at.

"I'm hoping we get away to a good start and put a few on early. That'll give us confidence and realisation that we are at this level and can beat this team."

South Grafton was beaten at home by Farrer High at the round of 16 stage last year and McKee predicts a similar or better opponent this time when the match kicks off at 10.45am.

"We've had a good training session and the boys are hyped and excited by the whole event," he said

"They understand they're up against a good side. Their heads are pretty level about this one. They realise they'll have to put it together and play their best game of the year to win this one."
