Plenty at stake for boarders

WAKEBOARDERS are rolling into Grafton from all over Australia to challenge one another on the Clarence River.

Australian riders will be bidding to represent the nation at the World Wakeboard Association World Championships in the United States.

One of four spots to take on eight international pro riders in the Monster Energy ProWake Show will also be on the line. Action will start at Memorial Park from 3pm today.

Event organiser and pro wakeboarder Daniel Watkins said he was excited to see so many young riders advancing so quickly through the sport.

“It is such an awesome sport and the people of the Clarence Valley are so lucky to live in the perfect spot to take advantage of its pleasures,” he said.
