Beat reporter plucked from the crowd to boogie with Chris
IT'S not often you get to interview Chris Isaak, which I thought was enough to brag about.
But it's another thing when Chris Isaak personally selects you from the crowd to come up onstage and dance with him to Baby Did A Bad Bad Thing.
That was my experience on Tuesday night when I went along to his Rockhampton show.
Pointing me out in the crowd, I was shocked and unsure whether it was me he was summoning.
An extremely anxious yet exhilarating, surreal, indescribable experience, those fleeting moments were something very few get the opportunity to do, which I decided to make the most of.
The funny part was, he did not know I had interviewed him only a couple of weeks ago, but I did get to tell him briefly after the gig, to which he replied, "Oh wow, I didn't know that, I asked you up on stage because I thought you were pretty!"
A true gentleman, I grooved and boogied away with Chris and his band for only a few minutes but the memory will be one to remember.
