Missing teen made it all the way to Sydney

Updated report, October 25: SAMUEL Hitch 16-year-old boy who was reported missing from Mudgeeraba on October 19 has been found safe and well.

Samuel was located by police in Darling Harbour in New South Wales.

Media and the public are thanked for their assistance with this matter.


Initial report, October 22: A GOLD Coast teen is missing and police believe he may be heading south.

Samuel Hitch,16, was reported as missing from Mudgeeraba about 7.30am on Saturday, October 19.

Police believe the teen may be trying to make his way to Sydney.

He may be wearing a grey shirt and navy blue long pants, black sunglasses and a pair of blue runners (with a small amount of grey and black on them).

He may also be carrying a Playstation Vita handheld game console.

It is believed that Samuel likes to visit local areas including the Mudgeeraba Markets and Robina Town Centre and fast food outlets.

Police hold concerns for Samuel's wellbeing as this is out of character and he has not contacted family or friends.

He is described as Caucasian, 180cms tall with a slim build, short sandy hair and green eyes.
