Police locate wounded man at Yamba

A 24 year-old man involved in an incident at Tweed Heads where two people were wounded was located by police at Yamba.

During the early hours of Sunday morning, a the 24-year-old man attended a home unit in Stuart Street, and located a 19-year-old woman and another man.

A short time later, the trio left the address in two separate vehicles.

The teenage woman and a man attended Tweed Heads Hospital, where the 19-year-oldman sought treatment for a number of back wounds.

He was later transferred to Gold Coast Hospital for specialist treatment.

The 24-year-old man was located at Yamba after police stopped a vehicle.

He was admitted to Lismore Hospital for treatment to a stomach wound.

The man and woman have both been interviewed by police and an investigation is underway.
