4.30pm Sunday Update

POLICE have confirmed that the 13-year-old boy that went missing from Maclean on Thursday has been found safe and sound.

Calais Szekely went missing after being seen outside Maclean High School at 3.30pm Thursday.

After an extensive search by both NSW Police and Queensland Police over the weekend, Calais was found by police yesterday morning in Queensland.

It appears he had been staying with a relative in Queensland over the weekend and he was in no danger or discomfort when police found him.

6pm Friday

POLICE have appealed for information about a 13-year-old boy missing from Maclean.

Calais Szekely was last seen outside Maclean High School about 3.30pm on Thursday.

He was wearing his school uniform and a backpack.

Police have conducted an extensive search for Calais, with no success, and are now appealing for information to help find him.

The teenager is described as being of Caucasian appearance, with tanned skin, about 150cm tall, of slight build (about 45kg), and with short, brown hair.

Calais wears a hearing aid in each ear.
