Police call for CCTV footage after woman's body found

UPDATE: POLICE have declared a crime scene at a home where a woman's body was found earlier today and have called for anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage from the area to step forward. 

Queensland Police Service said in a statement officers were called to the home in Jillinda Place in The Gap about 7am. 

"Initial investigations indicate that the death is suspicious and investigations are continuing," QPS said. 

QPS also called on anyone who was in the area this morning and noticed anything suspicious to phone Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000. 

EARLIER: THE body of a woman is believed to have been found at a home in Brisbane's west, with police now on the scene.

Parts of Jillinda Pl in The Gap have been cordoned off while forensic officers examine the house.

In a statement, police have confirmed officers are treating the death as suspicious.

"Detectives have declared a crime scene at a Jillinda Place residence in The Gap this morning after the body of a woman was located inside," he said.
