AN ANIMALS' Protection Act offence has been generated after a complaint was received about the breach of the 50 metre exclusion zone set up around a washed-up whale carcass last week at Blacks Beach.

A man ignored warnings from council officers and stood on top of the whale.

He then sat down and began screaming before running away.

Police said the wanted man is caucasian, of solid build, and aged about 20 to 25.
