Police uncover cannabis crop on Northern Rivers

A 43-year-old man has been arrested following a search warrant was carried out at Tabulam, locating drugs and ammunition.

Police allege that at 3pm yesterday they executed the search warrant on a Tabulam farm that housed two caravans.

Inside one caravan police located two hundred and forty five cannabis plants in varying stages of matured growth in pots.

The heights of the plants varied between 10 cm and 1 metre in height.

Police also located were seven hydroponic grow lamps, shades, seven ballasts and a significant amount of bottled hydroponic nutrients and growth aids.

Inside another caravan police located an amount of ammunition.

A 43-year-old Tabulam man has been charged with the cultivating more than a commercial quantity of a prohibited drug, possession a prohibited drugs, possessing ammunition without a licence, and taking part in enhanced indoor cultivation of a prohibited drug (commercial quantity).

He also had an outstanding warrant executed.

He will appear in Lismore Local Court today.
