Pacific Valley Christian School builds on good 2013 results

THE future looks positive for Pacific Valley Christian School.

The bulk of its sporting success among secondary students came from Year 7.

Caleb Couper won the javelin title and equal first in the 12yr Boys Championship at NSW CSSA Athletics. Kayli Ohlmus was overall runner-up in the 12yr Girls and won the school's Sports Excellence Award.

Also in Year 7, Liam Tesoriero represented at state athletics and cross country, joined by Kieran Francis (Yr 7) and Harley Jones (Yr 9).

Meanwhile the Sports Merit Award went to Eathan Kapeen, who was a standout across team sports in 2013.

"Eathan had outstanding school performances in AFL, cricket and touch football," sports co-ordinator Steve Couper said.

The school, which caters for Year 11 students for the first time next year, is hoping opportunities will exist beyond CSSA level in 2014.

"Next year we will be affiliated with Combined Independent Schools, which is the next stage after CSSA," Couper said.
