Isuzu truck tow bars installed with the wrong bolts

THE wrong bolts have prompted an Australia-wide product recall on tow bar packages on Isuzu N series trucks built from May 1, 2016-October 24, 2016.

A Product Safety Recall was issued for tow bar packages on Friday afternoon, with concern that in extreme cases the tow bar could break free from the truck chassis.

"Consumers who bought an Isuzu Tow Bar Package for N Series between the 1st of May 2016 and 24th of October 2016 should immediately contact their nearest Isuzu truck dealer to inspect and replace any incorrect bolts used during installation," the recall said.

The N Series is a widely used commercial vehicle and one of Isuzu's biggest sellers.

Affected truck owners were urged to contact an Isuzu dealer.
