QUEENSLAND AND NSW SCHOOLS CRIPPLED BY BOMB THREATS

AT LEAST 19 schools throughout Queensland and New South Wales are having to deal with more bomb threats and suspected hoaxes, with entire campuses again being evacuated by authorities.

Queensland's Department of Education released a full list of the 18 schools affected in the state.

A spokeswoman said each school contacted police immediately and have following emergency protocols on police advice.

Bremer State High School in Queensland's south-east was being examined by police after a threat was made.

Emergency services took the call from the school at 9.30am following a phone threat.

Police have told Queensland Times they will now scrutinise the school grounds and that a bomb coordinator is also on the scene.

In the south-west, Roma State College's middle school campus has also been locked down after a similar threat.

Mackay State High School in Central Queensland was emptied after the school received threats shortly after 9am.

The Daily Mercury reports students were sent from their classrooms but are now returning to their desks.

In New South Wales, Goulbourn State High school students are now returning to their lessons after police declared a morning bomb threat a hoax after examining the site.

It is not yet clear how many more schools, if any, are affected in New South Wales.
