Queensland mother shares secret to her incredible figure

"THIS is the best body I've ever had and I'm almost 40..."

A 38-year-old mother-of-two from Queensland has shared the secret to her incredible figure.

The Daily Mail reports Gold Coast woman Belinda Norton-Smith said the secret is family fitness and exercises with her kids every morning.

"All you need to do is go walking every morning as a family and let the kids be involved in the fitness too.

"Children need to learn that fitness doesn't need to be hard or competitive because that's missing the point of a healthy lifestyle.

"An hour a day is all you need...put down the social media and get outside on the grass or head to the beach and create a lifestyle in front of them that they can follow," she said.

Before having children, the full-time PE teacher used to compete in mountain biking competitions and triathlons.

But she said after having her children - Zade, 10 and Meka, eight - she realised she didn't need to be training so hard.

"I started to look more into what was going to benefit me as a mum and after a great deal of research realised that as a woman, overdoing cardio training wasn't going to create a great body shape for me."

Ms Norton-Smith said it is all about light cardio training, repetitive weight training, speed training and a balanced diet.

"Women also need to do cardio in the morning, not at night, for our optimal well being and body shape," she said.

With a degree in Health and Physical Education, Ms Norton-Smith is sharing her health and lifestyle tips through her business b.livewear and boasts over 30,000 Instagram followers.
