QUT lecturer allegedly posed as Bieber to groom children

A QUT lecturer allegedly posed as Justin Bieber to convince children over the internet to perform sex acts for him.

41-year-old law lecturer Gordon Douglas Chalmers appeared in Brisbane Magistrates Court today and was remanded in custody after being denied bail, the Courier-Mail reports

He has been charged with possession of child exploitation material and two counts of using a carriage service to groom children under 16.

Chalmers was also charged with using a carriage service to access child pornography and 15 counts of disobeying a lawful order issued by a statutory authority.
