RUGBY LEAGUE: It will be a top of the table clash when the South Grafton Rebels ladies league tag team travel away to Sawtell Panthers tomorrow.

The Rebels ladies led by captain-coach Heidi Dalton have impressed so far this season only dropping two games on their way to sitting second on the Group 2 competition ladder.

But the team they come up against will not let them get to the win easily with Sawtell undefeated so far this season including a 22-12 victory the last time the two sides faced in Round 6 at McKittrick Park.

On that day the Rebels led going into half time but it was the experience of Sawtell that proved most valuable, but Dalton believes that ledger might have swung in the South Grafton girls favour this week.

"The girls have really come along in leaps and bounds this season and they are improving with each game that they play,” she said. "The last couple of weeks we have been travelling the best we have all season so we are ready for this clash.

"They are the undefeated team at their home ground so all the pressure to perform is on them.”

Dalton said a few late inclsuions in the side to cover for injury had been the right injection the Rebels needed in recent weeks.

Relle Donavon and Natasha Moore have only joined the fold in recent weeks but if their combined four try haul last week is anything to go by they will be strike weapons tomorrow.

"I can't wait to see how Relle and Kyah Jones go together on the field, they are strike players,” she said.

The league tag clash will be a curtain raiser for first grade at 2.45pm.
