Red-hot go at White Ribbon Day

FORMER star St George Dragons winger Nathan Blacklock showed he has the skills to tackle more than opposing players when he was the special guest at White Ribbon Day celebrations at Wherrett Park yesterday.

The White Ribbon Day ambassador addressed more than 250 people who attended about ways we can all put an end to domestic violence by speaking up and ending the silence.

As well as Blacklock's vital message, Lower Clarence managed to hold onto the White Ribbon shield in the annual Oztag competition.

People of all ages enjoyed the display put on by competitors in the skate/BMX/scooter competition.

Kids of all ages enjoyed the rock climbing wall, jumping castles and face painting.
