Relay for Life launch

WHAT could be more fun than meeting the life-sized Relay For Life mascot Dougal Bear and getting a hug and photo at this weekend's Grafton Relay For Life launch?

The event kicks off at 9am today at Grafton Shoppingworld.

Cancer Council NSW Northern Rivers community relations co-ordinator Abby Wallace said they were inviting everyone in the community to attend the fun and free event.

"We are urging teams to sign up early and create some "purple" buzz around town for the upcoming relay," Ms Wallace said.

The launch will also feature colouring-in for the kids and free balloons, plus the launch of the Grafton Relay For Life major raffle for 2014.
