Retailer replaces new console stolen in armed robbery

EB GAMES has come to the rescue of two gamers robbed of their new Xbox One console just moments after picking it up at the midnight launch last week.

The gaming retail giant has replaced the young couple's console after it was violently stolen from them.

The man and woman, both 18, were approached from behind by three men on George St, Deception Bay, east of Caboolture, last Friday.

The trio threatened the pair with a gun and demanded a backpack, containing the new gaming console.

The pair attempted to run away but the three males caught up with them and the man and woman were pushed to the ground and the console stolen.

The couple was treated for cuts and abrasions.
