Retired Raceview couple scoop $1 million Gold Lotto win

A RETIRED Raceview couple have become overnight millionaires after their entry in last night's Gold Lotto won a $1 million first division prize.

The winners, who wish to remain anonymous, were still flabbergasted by their division one win when a Golden Casket official contacted them today.

"My husband checked our entry early this morning but he didn't believe it," the winning wife exclaimed.

"He made me dash down to a newsagency straight away to double check that we had the winning numbers. But even now I still think he doesn't believe that we've won $1 million.

"It's so fantastic. We're retired so we've been very careful with money but now we'll be able to relax a little.

"I think the first thing we'll do with our prize money is buy a new car. My daughter's also joked that the next family holiday will be on us."

The winning numbers were 21, 7, 2, 13, 35 and 41 with the supplementary numbers of 45 and 14.

The winning 12-game marked Gold Lotto entry was purchased from Raceview News, 64 Raceview Street in Raceview.

This is the second big win so far this year for Raceview News which sold a division one winning entry worth $1.05 million in Gold Lotto draw 3493 on 10 January.
