Revved up for the Jaguar suite
THIS is clearly just the hotel room for a cat nap.
The Taj Hotel group has revealed a new Jaguar-themed suite at its prestigious London property at 51 Buckingham Gate.
The five-star hotel - which is owned by Jaguar's Indian parent company Tata - is now taking reservations for its two-bedroom Jaguar suite which is adorned with racing memorabilia and is decked out in the same high quality interior materials seen in some of the brand's wares, including leather seats (around the dining table) and wood panelling in the entry-way.
There's also a wall coated in custom-made Jaguar wallpaper, a free-standing fireplace shaped like a Jaguar rear window, and numerous framed bonnet ornaments scattered throughout the interior of the suite.
The styling of the suite has been overseen by Jaguar design boss Ian Callum, the man who has overseen the revival of the Jaguar brand, including several game-changing designs such as the modern-day interpretation of the iconic E-Type, the C-X16 super coupe.
This level of luxury - like most Jaguar cars - doesn't come cheap, with the suite costing about $8000 a night. But that jaw-dropping price includes chauffeured transfers in a top-end Jaguar XJ, and a full English breakfast.
