Ride on in to shows

THE North Coast Western Riders Club welcomes competitors and spectators to our monthly show and training days at Hawthorne Equestrian Park, South Grafton.

On Saturday, February 13 the Rookies Day tuition and show for beginners will be held. Learn about horsemanship and showing while making new friends with your equine mates. Office opens at 9am for sign in. The fun starts at 9.30am with led classes - no need to saddle up. Minimum dress requirements: hat/helmet, jeans/jodhpurs, riding boots, long sleeved shirt. Before each class tuition is given. The program is: 1. Halter, 2. Showmanship at Halter, 3. Hunter In Hand, Moring Tea Break, 4. Bridle Path Hack, 5. Hunter Under Saddle, 6. Hunt Seat Equitation, Lunch Break, 7. Western Pleasure, 8. Western Equitation, 9. Western Horsemanship, 10. Trail. Cost is $45 for NCWRC members, $50 for non-members and includes all class entry fees, tuition, insurance, stable, ground but the fee excludes camping. Refundable Number Deposit is required ($5.00) per horse/rider combination. On Sunday, February 14 is our regular show day. A-class AQHA Show with Halter, Led, English, Western and Sporting classes in open, youth, amateur and rookie divisions starting at 8.30am. The initiation to the North Coast Western Riders Club General Meeting will be held at the Golden Dog Hotel, Glenreagh on February 21at 10.30am.
