RIPPING IN: Taylor to coach NSW Residents
FORMER Grafton Ghosts premiership winning coach Rip Taylor has once again been tasked to mentor the games best and brightest up and coming stars as the coach of the NSW Residents team.
The NSW Residents team is made up of the best players in the second tier Intrust Super Premiership NSW competition and is slated to play against the Queensland Residents side at Langlands Park this Sunday.
Taylor was awarded the call up after taking his Wyong Roos side to the NSW Cup grand final last season, but has been in and out of the representative position since his first call up in 2010.
In the late '80s and early '90s Taylor coached the Grafton Ghosts to three premierships in four seasons in what was just the beginning for the illustrious coach.
Close friend and Grafton Ghosts president Joe Kinnane praised Taylor's coaching efforts and said the representative nod was deserved.
"He is a favourite of the Grafton Ghosts club," Kinnane said. "It is him first and daylight second when it comes to coaching."
