Roadshow delivers insight into university options

THE touring University Roadshow will be visiting Year 12 students in Grafton today, offering a wealth of information on life as a student at a regional university and what paths students can take to pursue their dream career.

Southern Cross University, Charles Sturt University and the University of New England make up the University Roadshow which has been making the rounds of regional and rural areas of NSW for 12 years.

Ellen Fleeton, student recruitment officer at Southern Cross University, said making decisions on where and what to study can be daunting.

"Deciding where to study is a big decision for these students and we are here to help," she said.

"We want to give them information about their options. The students will learn about courses, accommodation and career paths.

"We also want to make students aware that they don't necessarily have to move away from home or go to a big city to get a fantastic degree."

The roadshow will be at South Grafton High School today from 9.20-11am.
