Roadside assistance for cyclists a possibility

AS cyclists swarm our roads more than ever, NRMA has flirted with the idea of providing roadside assistance to those on two wheels.

NRMA deputy president Wendy Machin said while it was early days, it was looking at ways to stay relevant to its members

"Cycling is becoming more and more popular and we need to acknowledge this," Ms Machin said.

"People's lifestyles are changing and we need to look at mobility in the wider sense."

Should cyclists pay rego fees to use the road?
