Rock pool needs a permanent fix says councillor

THE Yamba rock pool needs a complete overhaul rather than piecemeal repairs, says a Clarence Valley councillor.

During debate on Tuesday in which the council approved spending $278,000 to repair the pool, Cr Karen Toms said the council should consider giving it a complete overhaul.

Cr Toms said the council repaired the pool a number of years ago and was now facing another repair bill for the pool.

"We need to bite the bullet and do it properly,” she said.

"We need to work on a long-term fix instead of a short-term spend.”
